The firm of Charles R. Hoffmann is based on his 50 years of intellectual property law experience. It is designed to offer professional legal services to entities with business concerns involving intellectual property law. Areas of expertise include patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition and international trade. Experienced legal representation is available as well in defending against intellectual property claims of others. Charles R. Hoffmann is an engineering graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has a JD Degree from New York University School of Law. He is registered to practice in the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is licensed to practice in the State of New York, the United States District and Appellate Courts including the Supreme Court of the United States. He has litigated intellectual property matters in all levels of the United States Federal Court system and before the International Trade Commission. He has lectured on Patent Law in the United States and abroad, is a member of the faculty of the Practicing Law Institute and has testified as a Patent Law expert.
Mr. Hoffmann began his legal career as an associate and then partner of the New York City Intellectual Property Law Firm, Kane, Dalsimer and Kane, for 18 years. He then became a founding and active partner of the Intellectual Property Law Firm of Hoffmann & Baron for 30 years before forming the present firm. He is also a veteran having served in the United States Army.
